Rock dumping vessel — bunker integrity assessment
The detailed integrity assessment of a CSL-OWL rock dumping vessel's stationary bunker structure involved a comprehensive finite element analysis (FEA) of both the plate and truss components. Given that the bunker had already been fabricated, design modifications were constrained. In collaboration with V-MARE, we addressed the client's requirements through targeted, local reinforcement solutions, effectively resolving the structural concerns.
1,200t crane integration — shallow water barge
Stability and global strength checks were performed for the integration of a 1,200t full revolving crane on HAPO's H-401 shallow water barge. Collaborated with Tresios' project team on the local integration and design, with our team supporting throughout the process—from feasibility to the final DNV-approved stability booklet and global strength evaluation.
CTV high-speed boat — passenger capacity conversion
In close collaboration with Tresios B.V. project team, we supported Sima Charters with the conversion of the SC TOPAZ CTV high-speed boat that aimed to increase passenger capacity while adhering to strict class requirements for damage stability. An onsite assessment provided critical insights into the constraints, enabling us to develop a compliant solution that secured full class approval for the revised passenger capacity without structural alterations and costly modifications.
CTV certification — inclining test support
In close collaboration with Tresios B.V. project team, we supported Sima Charters in certifying an old-timer CTV after a new moonpool installation altered its hydrostatic properties. Despite the absence of digital documentation, we relied on the original handwritten Dutch hydrostatic curves and stability booklet to derive new lightship specifications. This simple yet effective approach—avoiding costly and time-consuming digital modelling—secured full class approval by proving only a minor lightship weight change, meeting the project deadline efficiently.
Cable lay barge — structural design & mobilisation
Structural design, calculations, and mobilisation assistance for a cable lay barge and its assisting vessel. In close collaboration with ECE Offshore's project team, we assisted in managing the full setup—coordinating equipment fabrication in China and final adjustments in Saudi Arabia. Together we overcame complex logistics, cross-border communication, and evolving client requirements, ensuring seamless collaboration between international teams. Adapted to local regulations, cultural differences, and tight schedules to support ECE in delivering a fully functional spread on time and within the client's strict financial constraints.
Sea fastening & deck layout — mobilisation support
Assisted with sea fastening calculations and deck layout for multiple operations. In close collaboration with ECE Offshore's project team we coordinated the full mobilisation, delivering quick, practical solutions that met the vessel's tight schedule and ensured full MWS compliance.
